  • Can I bring my dog?
    Yes, but the admission of dogs to individual gardens is at the discretion of the garden opener. Please keep dogs on a lead and under control at all times.
  • Are the gardens suitable for wheelchair access?
    Some are and some are not, as they require the navigation of steps for access. The access for individual gardens is described in each garden description in the 2023 leaflet.
  • Can I photograph the gardens?
    Yes, all the gardeners have agreed to their gardens being photographed. Perhaps ask the gardeners permission before photographing them?
  • Can I buy any plants?
    Yes! There will be plants for sale on both days at Hightown Community Rooms, Vicarage Road, where teas and refreshments are also available. Payment by card is available at the plant stall.
  • Where can I park?
    Parking is free and available at the small car park near the bridge on the Newcastle Road or at the the larger Memorial Hall car park (postcode SY7 8NY)
  • Where are the public toilets?
    In the car park by the bridge on the Newcastle Road, in the Memorial Hall and at the High Town Community Rooms on Vicarage Road, where the teas and refreshments are available and plant stall is located.
  • Can I get cash in Clun?
    In theory yes, at the Spar shop in the square where there is a cash machine. This however is often out of cash. Next closest is Bishops Castle (two machines) & Craven Arms (one machine in the post office).
  • Can I pay for tickets with my bank card?
    We are only accepting cash at the ticket sales counter. The teas and plants in the Hightown Community Rooms can be paid for with a card.
  • Can I buy tickets in advance?
    All tickets are only available for purchase on the two days of Clun Gardens Open, 24th and 25th June, from 2 ticket desks (situated at the Memorial Hall car park and opposite the Clun bridge car park on the Newcastle Road). The cost is £6.00 per person, free for accompanied schoolchildren. They are valid for all gardens for both days. There are no advance ticket sales.
  • Where can I buy tickets?
    There are 2 ticket desks - No 1 at the Memorial Hall car park (postcode SY7 8NY) No 2 opposite the Clun Bridge car park on the Newcastle Road Tickets are valid for both Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June and cost £6.00 per person (free for accompanied schoolchildren)
